Self made suffering, oh hubris, a poem

in #poetry6 years ago

Woe to he who reaches out grasping for the impossible, His love they are gone, His debt's be heavy, He does carry a great burden of sorrow. He chooses not to struggle longer and instead looks to shortcut's and salves to heal his many woe's, but alas he falls hard the lofty goal's he does not reach, and in the end he ends far worse than before, drowning in a pit of sorrow's which he himself did create. The world is cruel and harsh.......sometimes yes, struggle does make us stronger and woe to he who does not know this, searching for an answer never to be found in the here or the next. Do not seek to wake the dead and seek not to impossible riches, simply strive each day to succeed in all things.
