Thank you, Ruth! This man was so unique. He had a certain cadence to his speech....for instance he never said "he was walking...." it would've been "he was a'walkin'" It must've been a kind of Southern dialect. Also, strangely enough, he lived a very Spartan life but when he passed away they found bags of cash in his attic! There's a little air of mystery there.
