Dying Planet

A DYING PLANET

Aquatic lives are endangered,
By plastic pollution,
And oil spills.

Our atmosphere poisoned,
From carbon emissions,
And flared gasses.

Our forests disappearing,
From deforestation,
And drought.

Our lands becoming deserts,
Due to global warming,
And climate change.

Our planet is dying,
By the deeds of our own hands.
And our existence threatened,
If she ceases to support life.

For our only home is Planet Earth,
And could one day be lost,
To the never-ending abuses,
Of mankind and its machines.

For just like you and I,
The Earth can also breathe,
And may one day breathe her last,
If man is left untamed.
