A. Shoes
The dirt on your shoes show where you've been. The scent from your socks show how careless you've been.
B. Smart Phone
The tool you use to post/create/curate symbols--emojis and figures of speech. You gather likes and reactions, comments, and suggestions, then suddenly you are elated. That is, until the battery runs out and the screen turn black and you see your face plastered against its glassy black screen: the face that is only yours.
C. Laptop
Or so you say you are a writer, and language is the only weight that matters--despite its capacity to not displace any meaning you may or may not have.
D. ID Card
An item that carries your face. Because your body is an empty shell that lacked anything worthy to know/talk about.
E. Iced Tea
Just when everything else turn sour, you pour this on your glass. For the thrill, maybe. Sweetness, after all, rots your teeth.
F. Slippers
Funny, friction always agrees with this one.
G. Pen
When we lack all of the necessary words to call our silence a conversation.
H. Extension Cord
When we try to connect so distance decays and everything else become a blur. Before we, and everything else, loses power.
