Ever wondered how it’ll be when you grow old? When we were much younger, we would gather round the village square to play the popular game “tinko”. I missed those beautiful moments I missed the rain which always begins and ends with us. I don’t want to grow old because I feel there’s still things I need to do, there’s still places I need to go not forgetting the fact that there’s still a lady I don’t want to stop loving, but what if we grow old? Our faces will become winkled, our strength will be gone, and it will be on the burden of our children to bear all these. What if we grow old? Getting old eventually is inevitable. As each day passes, we get closer to our deaths and farther away from youth. Gradually, our senses get weaker, our physical strength derails but, one good thing is; our memories-even though they are fainter in our minds-get richer. We then have a lot of stories to tell, good or bad, sweet or bitter, the ones we want to relive and the ones we want to forget. But, we are thankful for all of them regardless of the picture they paint in our memories.
When we get old, the world will be entirely different from how it was when we were growing up. Technology will take over everything done on a daily basis. Though it may look bizarre and scary to us because none of it existed during our days, we will be thankful, we will show gratitude because we have lived to see the changes right before our slowly blinding old eyes. What if we grow old?
