Sweet romantic lines. Is there any intended allusion to Eastern myth about a figure residing in the moon to unite lovers? I forget. It may be a rabbit. It's sad a heart needing life inserted yet living perhaps too long

The moon is often a theme of star-crossed lovers... no specific intended allusion here, other than the fact that lovers separated by a great distance can still observe the same moon at the same time...
