Cancri

there is a world
where love is as common as rain
where warmth and bliss are cultivated
           upon carbon lattices
seeded from the silken friction
                      of skin on skin

souls permeate and radiate
inspire a nebular expansion
on the scale of the minute
deeper than heaviest singular
                      fold of space

I can teach you how to be happy
she promised, through glistening tears
I’ve got you, he whispered in return
and held her tight as she fell

fingertip pulses
crystals and air fuse
micro-atmospheric symbioses
           heat and space subduction
diamonds bloom along her spine
unearthed by the gentle auger
                      of his touch
