A person I knew
was gone in a few
shuffled off his mortal coil
after a life of toil
Exhaustions caught up
one’s that life brought up
His body finally gave
after the long road he paved
His family’s wormwoodic state
never turned to an asphodelic rate
they knew it’s partial grief
it’s duration, only brief
looking for a rainbow
a shelter from peltering woe
amidst the storm
deprived from any norm
Death should be sweet
for it’s senses will defeat
if you look amidst the seas
their suffering has already ceased
So shall we smile at the wake?
to cover our hearts that ache
or should we cry
to the point our ducts dry
We may be sad for their passing
but they have what we are longing
Eternal peace and serenity
separated from the world of calamity
Cherish all your memories
accept all it’s conformities
we will never know what we’ll see
maybe loved ones smiling with glee
