These nights...
I trek to the horizon
To bid the sailing clouds farewell
Don't you see the golden sunset
Like a mournful bride..dying in the west?
If you pass me by the way
And see me talking to myself
Don't say I'm mad
These nights..
I feel just like an epithet
Lonely. Alone. Scripted by dirty hands..
Moulded of passion
Yet dying inside, just like a sepulchre
I smell of formalin
Dead of purpose
These nights..
Are nights father always warned me about
But because I'm me, I told him to trek to hades
You wouldn't tell father that, would you?
He did trek and never came back
Now I try to join pieces of his footprints
To light my way to hades
So I can fall at his burning feet
These nights...
Are nights I drew charcoal lines on my cheek and sing the witches' song
I try to be a vampire in the mirror and scare my soul outta my flesh
At a point I'm tired
I sit and listen to the music of my heartbeat
Father told me that's my closest companion; my heartbeat
If it stopped playing, I should know it's my turn to cross the border
...of insanity into sanity
Yes.. This world is insane...of so many things
