Bobby Brand was a ruthless businessman
Whose riches were his retirement plan.
Born to affluence and power was he,
Bob owned all one could possibly need.
This wealth; however, was gained through crime,
But none of his family ever did time,
For careful they were in their illegal trade,
Teaching Bob just how their money was made.
Handsome of face, and of height 6’2”
Bobby had eyes of the deepest blue.
Over females his looks had strong effects;
But alas, these girls wanted money or sex.
As an adult Mr. Brand had loads of wealth,
And kept up his seemingly perfect health,
But there was one thing he couldn’t grab hold of,
That which precedes all others… Love.
No relationships of his were as true,
As his cold empty eyes were deep and blue.
The life of Bob always lacked emotion,
For nothing stirred him, no look at the ocean,
Nor smile nor laugh nor family photograph,
Could have an impact on his epitaph.
Bob never gave his money away,
And in his greedy hands it had always stayed,
Until the day that he turned cold and died,
And was buried on a day that no one cried.
No fame, fortune, power, or position,
Did comfort poor Bob in his final contrition,
And he died with a heart that was full of strife,
Realizing he’d accomplished, nothing, in life.
He cared for that which he couldn’t keep,
Such that when it came to his final sleep;
No part of him stood the test of time,
For a loveless life was his final crime.
