I sit here wishing I were floating.
I wish I were a cloud.
High above everything;
Yet I am here.
Heavy and weighed down by my life,
My responsibilities.
Everything I have agreed to and upon.
As I sit here,
Wishing I were floating.
The cotton candy sky seems so peaceful.
Frigid and cold.
Winds tearing the clouds to shreds.
How I wish I could be one too.
Their screams stretching across the sky.
How I wish mine could into the void.
Instead of the winds, It's my life.
Stretching and straining my mind and soul.
So tired am I, with this moment I'm in.
Where I'm not weightless or free,
But dreaming that I was.
How I wish I could be burning like the clouds.
The morning hellfire that scorches the sky,
As it burns away the night.
Oh, how I wish I could burn too.
Burn while I freeze in the gusts of fury.
But I am already frozen while the fires take me away.
The blaze that is my life.
The tundra that is my thoughts.
The wishes that never come true.
The wishes of being a cloud,
And floating like one too.
