From our first breath
Slowly moving toward death
Moments in between
Memories to be seen

Some forgotten
Others rotten
Seconds in time
Sad and sublime

Time is everything
Precious and fleeing
Wanting for more
Lost to war

Rivers run dry
Time to fly
No tears for me
I'm now free
