Most likely to enlighten me that everything I've done so far hasn't gone to waste...
Because sometimes I need that clarity,
Just turned 20
and my father put the pressure on me...
About growing into a man and taking care of my family...
Somebody has got to step up,
somebody gotta be the man before he leaves...
So you know I can't let my life go to waste...
Naww, not if I'm still breathing...
Saw a body on the stairs, laying lifeless, and bleeding...
Right around when the first officer responded to check if he was still breathing...
and by time he made it to the hospital, the news reported he was dead...
It can't be mythological, Mann this all gotta be happening for a reason...
People are dying every minute, rather move back to Africa...
Where happiness spreads through the atmosphere...
Where people love you, and if a right breaks, they fight fair and square...
& These are just my thoughts, perpetuated by dreams and nightmares.
