The Plunderers of Earth

The Earth plunderers go about,
Cutting down trees for their purpose,
Hunting down wildlife for meat,
Killing aquatic animals for food,
Digging the soil for gems,
Burning combustibles at will.

Whether Earth has life or not,
None cares;
Earth is complaining,
None cares;
Crying, none hears;
Bleeding, none sees;
Shivering, none feels.

Now sick, and in distress!
Sun looks down,
Gets infuriated.
The vibration of his anger
Heats up the environment,
Scorching Earth,
Melting icebergs,
Causing overflow of riverbanks.

Now, the plunderers lament.
But, who are these plunderers
If not you and I?
