Kenosis (I Shit You Not)

in #poetry7 years ago

Smooth, clean, surrogate
White
Crystallised and polished
Shiny
Reflective and disorienting
After the initial strain
The first log falls
Marks the surface
With a tarred blemish
The smell is unmistakably
Rotten
Core elements dumped
Relocated to a safer, sanitised place
Texture, imperfect
Persistent, attached, glazed
Informational analysis returns
Splattered droppings as errors
Report comes out skewed
Insisting on imminent system failure
Wiping every sector clean
Is hardly an easy or enjoyable task
Doubt over prior misconduct
Instructs that a devaluation
Of cost and effect
Should be delivered
Presented, projected
Right on off-white, two-ply, gnarly, daftly, surly
Discounted latrine paper

Is that img toilet paper?

Is this best read in the morning as inspiration in place of the more traditional newspaper?

Were you asked to study the products of your kenosis by a doctor and report back to him?

It's an oddly appealing poem, with a kind of hidden rhyme.

And I like the invite at the end, esp. the first line.

Yes, that is a closeup shot of a piece of toilet paper.

It could be read at any point in time where you desire an emetic or otherwise exertion.

Since I am my own doctor I conduct daily and thorough examinations of whatever goes in and comes out of my body.

IT, of course, bears the marks of greatness, as IT has come out me.

Clarify please.
