On nights like this
I feel amiss
Every memory gets me so pissed
I think too much
Unable to escape this nightmare's touch
I try to remember all that's occurred
Everything is blurred
The good marred by the bad
I can't help but become frustratingly mad
Life's web has been spun
It's all been said and done
But the memories in my head still come like a flood
I become stuck like a stick in mud
And my head swells from the pools of my past's blood
My emotion goes whack out of control
Like a tempest, I swish and roll
I become raptured by rage
Inflamed by the events in each page
And I wage
A battle to my wrongdoers in each stage
I wanna forget all the things that were said
And all that they did
But it's impossible
When I feel so horrible
So I do the only thing that I can do
Plan my revenge in full
And stamp it in my thoughts like a tattoo
Its only than that I'm able to calm
Unwind the ticking time bomb
Very nice flow and rhyme scheme. As for the poem, I loved the fact that each stanza alone is a little poem onto itself. They all express different stages and aspects of the journey we call life, and when fitted together, they paint a beautiful picture of life in its totality. Thank you for sharing!
PS: If you are interested and have some spare time, I have some poetry on my blog too.
Thank you for reading my poem and for the kind comments. I love reading and writing poetry so I definitely will check your poems
You are welcome! Same here, poetry, both writing and reading it teleports me to another realm. Thanks!
