180 days of Poets United! (2/10)

First it was only about the rhyme
Then came Poets United's time

A mission to make poetry great again
And give all poets something to gain

This only started six months ago
And we haven't lost the poetic flow

Here your work will get more exposure
And help you support your own composure

We welcome everyone in, or back
To get their poetry career on track

If you have joined you already know
That we are making Steemit glow

Thank you all for your contributions
We are working for better solutions

The future for Poets United is bright
Our Witness Server will run Tonight

So go and give it your witness vote
and our community you will promote

Giving all we can and then some
So to our Discord you must come

Now it's time for the second review
With 10 poems more for you to chew

@angelveselinov

Hello Poets and poetry Lovers!

Poetsunited is 6 months old, technically still in the "teething" age but instead of crying we're are smiling! Today the second installment of our review series!

We want to celebrate this occasion by selecting the 100 best poems out of the hundreds that were submitted to us over this period. All of these poems deserve more attention than they got in our opinion, even if they were reviewed in the Daily Dose.

So we have come up with a novel way to make those poems earn some more praise, votes and comments once again. Right below this post are 10 comments by @poetsunit, they are numbered the same as the poems in the list below this text.

If like a poem and you would like to give it an upvote, then upvote the comment where the poem is mentioned. Comments can go on the original post or below the matching comment here. We will make sure the liquid post payouts will go towards the original author. We think this is an awesome way to get the old poems some of the shine they deserve. Obviously you can vote for more than one poem! We are going to make 10 posts with 10 poems like this, the poem that gets the highest number of votes on August 1st will win 5 sbd, the number two will win 3 and the number three will win 2 sbd, on top of their post payouts! So, if one of your poems is mentioned in one of the 10 issues you might want to give your friends a nudge ;) Also every poem that is mentioned in these 10 issues will be reviewed again when we make it to a year, that would be 15 January 2019. Who knows? We might even get it out on paper by then! Our very own paper "One Year Anniversary" issue! So, with all that being said, let's get to the first ten poems now:

And remember: Do not upvote the original poem! They are all past post payout, so no use...

11@yahialababidi The Night & It's Bewitching Might
12@poeticsnake A Demon I've Become
13@hazem91 Endurance Hope Sincerity
14@angelveselinov The Good and The Bad
15@lonestarpoet Subtleties of Inspiration
16@lorddominik007 Life's a Canvas
17@miraeff The Demon: Anger
18@poetrybyjeremy In The Streets of Paris
19@mic.mayhem Drift Part 2
20@mah7 Flower
These are our second ten picks! Tomorrow we will have ten new old poems for you! If you got inspired to write a poem about poetsunited and would like it to be the intro for one of the remaining eight posts, send it to a Restless Soul...

Now let the upvote-battle begin!

Hi @poetsunited, I'm @checky ! While checking the mentions made in this post I found out that @poetrybtjeremy doesn't exist on Steem. Maybe you made a typo ?

If you found this comment useful, consider upvoting it to help keep this bot running. You can see a list of all available commands by replying with !help.

@poetsunited So this comment actually helped you since you edited the post to change the part where the wrong mention was but you still decided to flag it. Nice...

@trumanity is speaking truth there, we always proofread our stuff and read it together again after we post it. Also we have a goal with the comments in this case and this bot generated comment was disturbing that. That was the main reason I downvoted the comment. No hard feelings :D

Ok, this is understandable, thanks for explaining ! Definitely no hard feelings. I was just getting defensive over my new project getting flagged for the first time on its first day for no apparent reason. But now that makes sense, good thing is the bot shouldn't disturb @poetsunited anymore since your flag triggered the !mode off command. If you have any other project that you wouldn't want to see @checky comment, please use this command with the project's account (instead of flagging it again :P).

Good luck with your project ! ;D

Thanks! Good to know you have an "opt out" option. I unflagged your comment as it will now not be on top...

The error was edited because of one of us doing a check. The conversation is in the discord on record.

Your follow up shows a tendency toward trolling. Might I remind you that any steemit user can vote on any content it deems worthy of a vote down or up

Everything has been said in reply to @madevi. Just so you know, I'm used to trolling people but this was very much not me trolling.

Thanks for removing your downvote from my comment by the way :)

Oh, really? Let me see ...

I was just getting defensive over my new project getting flagged for the first time on its first day for no apparent reason.

How about this apparent reason?

Your project is based on a model where you spam people with unsolicited comments and ask them for a vote. If they dislike your spam, you return with .....

whyyy1-1024x905.png
-- Why didn't you follow my instuctions and vote for my project.

How about starting with an opt in? If someone wants grammarly, they will go out and buy it. you want to get your foot in the door by gaslighting your way into the hearts and minds of everyone on steemit - what you are doing is harrassing, spamming, trolling and it can lead to more nefarious actions later on. I am not keen to read any more clever comebacks from a supercilious, audacious troll such as yourself.

Everything has now been said.

It's been 3 days, time to get over it. That is not trolling, you should really learn what trolling actually is. If I was trolling, you would have essentially given me everything I wanted: attention... but I wasn't. For every user like you, there are plenty more that found @checky's comments useful. Taking that into account, there is no point for this bot to use an "opt in" system. If the tables were turned then yeah, it would make sense. I don't ask for upvotes, I merely suggest users to upvote, there is a big difference there. Upvotes are not for my own profit but for helping with the cost of running the bot. The whole point is to make people realize that they failed to mention other users, if you fail to see that that's not my problem. I don't care about getting into the hearts of everyone on Steemit, otherwise I would be blogging in English, not in French. Being myself can indeed lead to nefarious actions such as a poet insulting me, but I don't care anymore. Harrassing, spamming, supercilious... it's funny how those words can be used against you too.

I'm done with your petty comments using big fancy words just to try and make yourself look smart. If you choose to reply, I won't be reading your comment so do as you wish.

NB: When complaining about spam, make sure to not be a spammer yourself.

You really think this works?

You once again descend to patronising someone else. I am within my right to object to what you did. No one asked you to check anything so your comment falls into a category of unsolicited junk. Get it straight - YOU ARE PRODUCING SPAM on steemit.

And your graphic.. Those were edits on the same comment. So you are simply proving once again what an arrogant and dishonest person you are.

If you can't understand big words, that isn't my problem. I'm done with you - your rubbish robot will always get a flag from me.
