in #pokemonlast month

Hi there. In this Pokemon TCG news post I cover the announcement of the Journey Together March 2025 release. Owner's Pokemon to return in the trading card game.

Journey Together English TCG Set In Scarlet & Violet Era

It appears that for every 4 main Pokemon TCG sets you get a special set. In 2024 the main sets were:

  • Temporal Forces
  • Twilight Masquerade
  • Stellar Crown
  • Surging Sparks

The special set after these four sets is the Eevee themed Prismatic Evolution to be released in January 2025. This special set features reprints from previous main sets plus new Eevee cards and some other new cards.

The first main set for 2025 is Journey Together which the SV9 set in the Scarlet & Violet era. The release date for Journey Together is March 28, 2025. Prereleases to take place from March 15 to March 23. It is based on Japan's Battle Partners set to be released in January 24, 2025. Owner's Pokemon are making a return. Known cards include:

  • N's Reshiram
  • N's Zoroark ex
  • Lillie's Clefairy ex

Pokemon TCG Sets Before The Unova Based Video Game

The Pokemon Legends: Arceus video game was released before the Scarlet & Violet video game series and the Scarlet & Violet era Trading card expansion sets. It seems that we have a few more TCG expansion sets to go before the Pokemon Legends: Z-A video game and TCG sets.

After the 2025 Pokemon Legends: Z-A video game I would assume that we get news of the next generation of Pokemon. That would be the next video game and the next era of cards.
