More Secret Rare & Art Pokemon Cards Reveal From Terastal Festival ex

in #pokemonlast month (edited)

Hello there. Pokemon trading card game fans in Japan are receiving the Eevee themed set Terastal Festival ex very soon. The release is on December 6 in Japan. The English version of Terastal Festival ex is in the form of Prismatic Evolutions to be released in January 2025.

According to Pokebeach, the secret rare cards have been revealed. This set features Eevee themed cards as well as reprints of many playable and art cards from previous Scarlet & Violet expansion sets like Paradox Rift, Twilight Masquerade, Shrouded Fable and Temporal Forces.

In this second Pokebeach article God packs do exist. This is for the Japan packs. With the English version in Prismatic Evolutions it is unknown. If you get lucky with a God Pack you get multiple rare cards in one 10 card pack. Source

Eevee Themed Art Cards

I show the Eevee themed Special Illustration arts without commentary. You can find translated versions on Bulbapedia.

Two of the images are low quality. They are taken from Pokebeach.

Larry's Profesionalism

This Larry card seems kind of plain to me. I do like his pose and his iconic facial expression.

Amarys

This Amarys card is okay. I don't think it is amazing nor horrible. Amarys holds a standing pose as one of the members of the Burberry Academy Elite Four.

Iron Hands ex New Art

This Iron Hands ex card goes crazy with all these wacky colours and effects. If you look closely you can see crystals on the bottom which indicates that this Iron Hands Pokemon is somewhere in the Area Zero Underground area.

This one below was the Special Illustration Rare print of Iron Hands ex from the Paradox Rift expansion. Which one do you like more?

Iron Valiant ex New Art Card

This version of Iron Valiant ex goes hard here. It looks quite menacing with its stance, background and the colours. It looks ultra violent.

Here is the Special Illustration rare version of the same name from Paradox Rift. This one is pretty good as it shows Iron Valiant with the other Future Pokemon.

New Iron Crown ex Art Card

The art style of this new version of Iron Crown ex is interesting and looks cool. The card is mostly blue but there are different shades of blue with some yellow. I would not say that this is my favourite but it is interesting.

Here is the special art version of Iron Crown ex from Paradox Rift. Which one do you like better?

Sandy Shocks ex New Version

Sandy Shocks is a weird looking version of Magneton. This Special Illustration version of Sandy Shocks ex from Terastal Festival ex is interesting. The art style of the card shows the Pokemon as a fossil of something.

Roaring Moon ex New Art Card

The art style of Roaring Moon ex is similar with Sandy Shocks ex. I prefer the Paradox Rift version (see below) as it shows the ferociosity of it.

Raging Bolt ex New Version

Raging Bolt ex is another Ancient Special Illustration rare here. This one looks nice as it has different vibrant colours. The Paradox rift version is below. Which one do you like better?

Champion Kieran

Champion Kieran has a different hairstyle and is a much better Pokemon Trainer as seen in the video game. In the background you can see his sister Carmine and Carmine's friend and Elite Four Member Amarys.

Other Secret Rares

Here are the other secret rares without commentary.

Janine's Secret Technique

This version of Janine's Secret Technique is slightly better than the other Ultra Rare version with the big forehead. I don't know what this angle is on this card. Is Janine jumping in?

Drayton

This Drayton card shows Drayton in his iconic yawning pose. The previous Drayton version has him shopping.

Lacey

This Lacey version is okay. It seems somewhat plain compared to the previous Special Illustration Rare card (see below).

Amarys

Like the Lacey card this Amarys card is a bit plain to me. The ultra rare version below is a bit better

Closing Notes

More details and card translation can be found on Pokebeach or Bulbapedia.

Although Terastal Festival ex features reprints of older sets with some new stuff, this set looks to be one of the biggest special sets in the Pokemon TCG. The arts in some of these cards are crazy. Prismatic Evolutions for the English & international audience will go crazy too. Pre-orders are sold out already. It will be really difficult for people to collect or get some playable cards. Let's see what happens upon release.

Which art cards look cool to you? Is Terastal Festival ex or Prismatic Evolutions a buy for you?

Thank you for reading.
