Fantastic Idea that needs additions/changes

by                    evanski22                               I think this is a great idea, but as others have said there are many  important improvements that can make this an amazing tool for players.  For example, I came across a Poliwrath, the fully evolved form, it was  super exciting. First, you shouldnt have to be at the location itself to  put the pin down. The last thing i was thinking was to go to another  app and place a pin down for a poliwrath. I knew what intersection i was  at, when I came home it would have been great to simply find the  location on the map abd place the pin. Secondly, I dont know if thats a  reliable spot for Poliwraths to regularly spawn. If i put a pin down  there and they never spawn again, Im giving inaccurate info, and someone  drove/walked/biked all the way there to be disappointed its not there.  There should be a timer on each pin, telling players how recently I got  it and 'hey, get there fast it might not be spawning there much longer'.  After the timer is up it automatically gets deleted, and if someone  else does indeed find one, he/she can put a pin down then. Also, you  should be able to delete your pins in case you make a mistake. Who knows  how many pins are people trolling others or made a mistake. It would  also be great but not super necessary if instead of transferring you to  yet another app, it gave you directions within the app already and not  going to maps    ...More

Few things to know

by                    Zacty99                               So this app is seen as a definite way to find a Pokemon's exact  location near you, however, there are a few things you need to realize.

The  Pokemon are submitted by people who may or may not have caught them in  that area. So there is (at least it seems to be) no way of knowing  whether or not the Pokemon is there. However, they, thankfully, added a  feature that allows you to choose whether or not the Pokemon can  actually be seen there.

Another thing is that Pokemon change  spots all the time. They change from different locations at different  times of day. The person might of caught a Pokemon at the time and place  they say, but that doesn't also mean you will catch the same Pokemon,  even if you go around the same time.

With those said, I've used  this to look for two Pokemon, as I like to keep the app open just in  case, and it worked for one of them. So in that case, I chose yes, that  the Pokemon can be found in the location. Mostly, Pokemon will have a  50% chance because around half see the Pokemon and half don't. This is  just a thing to keep in mind when hunting.

All in all, it's a  great app, and a fantastic concept. Obviously it can use some  improvements, but even the Pokemon GO app itself could use them too.  Give it some time, and this will be a very useful, maybe even necessary  app in your hunt to be the best.    ...More

Good start, but it needs improvement

by                    trexdrew                               This app definitely has potential but there are a few changes that can make it better.

1.)  Time and date stamps dear god please! Seriously put in time and date  stamps when someone creates a pin because Day/Night is just not cutting  it. Someone could see a rare critter and drive there just to be  disappointed because that pin was dropped many hours ago and the Pokémon  is long gone.

2.) Let people delete things! If someone messes up  and drops a pin in the wrong location they can't change it and that'll  lead to other disappointed trainers who might go there and not find it.

3.)  Filter menu is so small it's so tedious to scroll. The method of  dropping a pin and filtering are both so tedious to scroll all the way  down to what you want. Make it more streamlined and user friendly.

4.)  I'm not sure if it's possible but let people use their map data on  their Pokémon within the game be posted. If you forget to drop a pin at  the exact location and get caught in the heat of the moment you can't go  back or drop a pin. You have to be right at the spot in order to drop  one.

I hope these are simply seen as constructive criticism and  not at all angry or anything. This is a great trainer based app and  deserves more support and use but without making it better it won't get  that way.    ...More
