Using Blockchain Earnings to Fund Real Life Business Ventures

in #pokemon2 years ago

I recently started taking on a new business venture surrounding buying and selling Pokemon cards.

It all started as a hobby that I was doing alongside my 7 year old daughter so that her and I could spend time opening packs together, bidding on auctions and building decks and playing against each other.

She also like to trade with her friends on the bus or at school.

I've been saving up my daily earnings from renting out my cards on splinterlands, posting to my two blogs that I maintain on a daily basis and also trying to sell a few NFTDraft cards here and there and I was just able to successfully pull $60 out of all of these activities.

It doesn't sound like a lot, but in the world of Pokemon cards where you deal in sometimes small quantities for minimal dollars, $60 can go a long way, and in this case it helped me get 3x expensive cards I would have had to wait on otherwise toward a master set that I'm building for my daughter for the Pokemon GO set.

We're now only about 10 cards away from completing this entire master set for Pokemon and we're also only 3x cards away from completing the basic Celebrations set too. We've also already completed the 2022 McDonald's Battle set as well.

We're planning to move on to completing the Celebrations Classic Collection, the McDonald's 25th Anniversary set and the Trick or Trade sets next.

I also have started binders for Astral Radiance, Lost Origin, Brilliant Stars, and Silver Tempest and I'm slowing going to work on all of those as well although those sets will be quite expensive and require a lot of time and money to complete but we keep slowly chipping away and adding to our collection with alot of hard work!

Hey that's actually really inspiring. My 8 year old is (in and out) into pokemon cards. And I always kind of wanted to get him started with building a collection worth something... Where do you get started with learning these things? Got some advice for us?

In all we do in life consistency plays a vital role. Am glad you found happiness in this. In the end your daughter will be glad you showed her the right part to future wealth.

Lovely post

I haven't heard of the McDonald's set, but through a lot of Amazon orders we did manage to complete the Trick or Treat set. Hopefully we can sell the spares at conventions to fund our little "addiction" too lol
