In a previous post I did feature this Eevee ex card. I don't want to get into much detail on this card again. Overall I think this card is good as it can evolve into its Pokemon ex Eeveelution.

Here is one of the first reveal Eeveelutions. Flareon ex is a Stellar Tera Pokemon. There are no abilities on Flareon ex with the second attack requiring different Energy types.

The first attack of Burning Charge costs one Fire Energy and one Colourless Energy to do 130 damage. There is an extra effect where you can search your deck for up to 2 Basic Energy and attach them to 1 of your Pokemon. Burning Charge does not have a high damage output but the Energy acceleration is quite good.

Flareon ex's second attack of Camelian requires one Fire Energy, one Water Energy and one Lightning Energy. Camelian deals 280 damage with the drawback of not being attack next turn. Hitting for 280 is pretty good as most Stage 1 Pokemon are 280 HP or less and you can one hit many Pokemon VSTAR Pokemon in the F, G, H regulation format.

Assuming Magma Basin is still legal in the Standard Format, Flareon's attack costs are reasonable. There is also the supporter Mela for a slight boost in Energy acceleration. Crispin is also an another choice. The second attack of Fire, Water and Lightning might represent Flareon, Vaporeon and Jolteon.

Flareon ex is not the most powerful attacker but it is not the most useless one. I think it is somewhat useable. We would have to see what the other Eeveelution attackers are.

Hoothoot

Here is new version of Hoothoot. It has 80 HP which would make this not compatible with staple card Buddy Buddy Poffin (see below). The ability of Insomnia prevents Hoothoot from sleeping. Sleep is not common in the game though so the ability is a bit too niche. Its Tackle attack is not very good. It costs two Colourless Energy to do 20 damage.

Larry's Professionalism

Larry makes a return in the trading card game. It is in the form of Larry's Professionalism. The effect of this card is kind of interesting. The cost is discarding your hand in exchange of searching your deck for 1 Pokemon, 1 Supporter card and 1 Basic Energy card.

If Larry's Professionalism is the only card in hand then this card can come in handy. You would give a card advantage of +2 in theory. Having 1 card in hand plus Larry's Professionalism would give you a +1 card advantage.

One scenario I see with this card is searching for an Evolution Pokemon, getting a Supporter for your next turn and getting a Basic Energy for manual attachment for the turn. Another use case would involve getting a Basic Pokemon, Supporter and Basic Energy.

A few decks can benefit from this card. Decks that make use of this discard pile compliment Larry's Professionalism. This is one of those cards that seem kind of bad on paper but could be good in practice. Testing would be needed to see if this card is useful or not.

In a later post I will cover the rest of the evolutions. These would include Vaporeon, Jolteon, Leafeon, Espeon, Glaceon and Umbreon.

Thank you for reading.
