Developers have to take some time off too, and while I can be quite the slave driver, I have always had a soft spot for poker. At one point in my past I used to be fairly good at poker, so much so that I made a living off it for a couple years. That was many moons ago, but then I came across Betcoin the other day in doing some research for the gaming section soon to launch on Crypto.Press and so I decided to throw in some BTC (they take LTC too) and give it a shot. I lost the first few tournaments I played and then became busy with other projects.
A couple of nights ago i went ahead and played a 10+1 1k guarantee, which I ended up winning! I followed that up with a final table 8th at another, so now I'm thinking to myself I may still have a bit of that poker spark in me somewhere. Low and behold Today (in a few hours) is the start of a tournament series that last into September with over 7700 BTC in guaranteed prizes!
So I decided since I have some winning to toss around that I would do something I haven't done in over a decade - compete in a tournament circuit (at least a little :)) and this time I decided to give it a relative 'live' blog through Steemit! I, of course being the shameless creator I am, have named my avatar "cryptopress" if you want to follow the action
Currently entered in:
- MOSS #2: $50 buy in 75k guarantee
- MOSS #3: $20 buy in 30k guarantee
- MOSS #4: $2buy in 1k guarantee (might replace this with a $40 buy in 6-max)
I would consider setting up some sort of twitch or stream if there is enough interest (though i have never done it and would appreciate a nice link :))
Here is a link to the poker site
and a link without my affiliate code (everyone becomes an affiliate when they sign up) Poker
Wish me luck!

8-14-2016-8:10 PM UTC : MOSS#3 up to 17k when someone played their kings hard pre flop I flopped atop pair with a backdoor flush draw and praying he didn't hit top set and I was stuck with the case I went for it turned out well.
8-14-2016-8:17 PM UTC: MOSS#2 I am struggling , been getting decent holdings, but not hitting anything down to 13k
8-14-2016-8:30 PM UTC: MOSS#2 I contiinue to struggle the card just don't seem to be falling - the calm before the storm :) MOSS#3 still looking good @ 16k - A lot of poker left to be played

8-14-2016 9:06 PM UTC: MOSS#4 went for a bluff and got picked off Re-Buy :) - remind me to hold a stack the next time I get it....
8-14-2016 9:20 PM UTC game play is a bit more intsense with 3 table 1 being 6 handed I need to build a bot that I can dictate to for this Still in all 3 MOSS#2 15k MOSS#3 7k MOSS#5 12.5k
8-14-2016 9:26 PM UTC : MOSS#3 99 wins vs 66 up to 11k

8-14-2016 12:03 PM UTC : Well if I didn't feel like Mr. Robot Before I do now the silence is a comfort, I actually think liveblogging my game makes me play much better - I feel accountable to the future story I will write about this on http://crypto.press
8-14-2016 12:08 PM UTC : I have graduated from beer to turkey and water - as we get old and grumpy we learn that the bravado from inebriation does not mix with cards as well as one's younger self may think.
8-14-2016 12:09 PM UTC : M2 122k M5 29k
8-14-2016 12:27 PM UTC : MOSS#2 In The Money! Always a good feeling - on to the FT

8-14-2016 1:14 AM UTC: You have to get lucky sometime to win a tournament usually and I just did in M2 240k
8-14-2016 1:28 AM UTC: Going well M2 283k 9th in chips - M5 167k chips 2nd but a lot of poker left to go!
I know betcoin. Its slow deposit speed and very super ultra slow withdraw speed. I didn't see any slower deposit and withdraw bitcoin poker site than betcoin.
Their speeds are a bit slow for that, but really with all the hacks on 3rd parties I'm not so sure I can blame them too much in the current ecosystem.
Cool, the tourbament concept seems a bit fun. hadnt heard of BETcoin.
Great name. Go get 'em!
thanks! It is a nice way to pass a Sunday :)
First tournament is 6:00 PM UTC 2 PM EST
