Lets hope the is some pokerwizards out there that can help me with a hand!
I just made a finaltable on partypoker and I wonder if I played a hand bad?

(Pre 82%, Flop 90%, Turn 86%)
UTG wins 57.66 BB
I ended the tournament 3rd for ~500$
My first impression is that this is just a bad spot. You had to go with it and when you are beaten it's just too bad.
The effective stack is also shallow enough to commit all the way with JJ.
A red flag could be raised because the villain is UTG and his range might much tighter than his average because of this.
Nevertheless, in this situation, your 3-bet is mandatory. IMHO.
As far as calling the 4-bet shove, it all depends on the villain's range in that spot.
With a strongish range, not balanced with bluffs, you get about 43% equity.
The pot equity is: ( 21.58 BBs / (21.58 BBs + 36.08 BBs) ) * 100 = 37.43%
You needed 37.43% equity to call and you had 43% vs a strong range, so it's a must call.
Thanks for the reply!
I know it is a call if we weren't on the finaltable but maybe it's a fold because of ICM?
I didn't mention ICM but it's obviously a consideration.
In this case though, I still think it's a call. If you want to win some tournaments you cannot let go of this hand. Good luck to you.
