Egy Maulana Vikri is heading to Europe and one more step join Lechia Gdanks. Let's get to know his new club Egy. Egy started flying to Europe on Friday (9/3/2018), by first flying to Doha before arriving to Poland as a destination country. There he is reportedly going to undergo a contract signing with Lechia club. Lechia is a club from the Polish country playing in the League of Ekstraklasa, the highest competition in the Polish football pyramid.
This season, for a while the club sits in 12th position out of a total of 16 contestants or are in the relegation play-off zone. Club that was founded in 1945 was originally not named Lechia but BOP Baltia Gdansk. The name Lechia was worn a year later. Gdansk itself is the largest port city in Poland. The city was handed over to Poland after the end of World War II in 1945. Lechia just took three years to be able to perform at the highest competition Poland. In 1948, the club headquartered at the Energa Stadium Gdansk was promoted to Ekstraklasa. Lechia's debut at Ekstraklasa on March 20, 1949 did not end sweetly. They were crushed 1-5 from KS Cracovia. His first victory came only a week later when he beat Ruch Chorzow 5-3. At the end of the season Lechia failed to survive in Ekstraklasa. The club with the nickname of Gdanskie Lwy was inhabit the bottom of the standings by collecting 11 points from four wins, three draws and 15 defeats. Lechia just returned to Ekstraklasa in 1951 and relegated again in 1953 for a season. In the 1956 season, Lechia finished third in Polish Ekstraklasa, which was the biggest achievement in the club's history so far. In the process, Lechia currently continues to play in the League Ekstraklasa since promotion in 2007/2008. In that period, the best achievement of a club owned by an investment company named Wroclawskie Centrum finansowo (WCF) since 2014 only finished fourth in the 2016/2017 season. Lechia just one title in the championship competitive.
The only title that Lechia won was the Polish League Cup in 1983. By joining Lechia it did not necessarily make the Ragunan Athlete Specialist training player the first Asian there. Previously there are two players from Japan, namely Tsubasa Nishi (20014-2016) and Daisuke Matsui (2013). In Lechia, Egy will be playing with Milos Krasic. Krasic is a Serbian winger who failed to thrive at Juventus and Fenerbahce.
