ACAB! Further, in the current day and age, cops don't prevent, and rarely solve crimes. If your car is stolen, you don't call the police because they're going to go look for your car or the thief: all you're doing is getting a police report number to report to your insurance company. Murders and sexual assaults are left not only unsolved but uninvestigated. Police brutalize marginalized people, serve up case numbers for bureaucracy, uphold capitalist interests, but I can't think of a time where I've needed or wanted the assistance of a police officer, or thought that it would help anything.

Yep! Can't tell you how many jury selections I've sat through where prospective jurors when asked admitted that the police did not actually help them yet many of them were satisfied with the actions of the police.
