W lipcu jakimś cudem przegapiłem pierwszy dzień miesiąca. Uzbierane HIVE'y się nie zmarnowały i razem z tymi przygotowanymi na sierpień dołączyły do mojej puli HP. Zupełnie przypadkowo wyszło tak, że moja moc przekroczyła właśnie 40000HP. Jest powód do świętowania! Co prawda 2lata temu na parę miesięcy przekroczyłem próg orki, ale wtedy był to power-up "na jakiś czas", obecna pula to już taka "na stałe". W przyszłym roku planuję już na stałe zostać orką.
Bitcoin leci w dół, HIVE za nim, standard. Jakoś niespecjalnie się tym przejmuję tak długo, jak widać rozwój infrastruktury i społeczności. A widać niezmiennie. Parę miesięcy temu uruchomiłem połowę zgromadzonych stablecoinów i po równo poszły w BTC i HIVE. W oszczędnościach mam jeszcze przygotowane parę tysięcy HBD na wypadek spadku ceny HIVE poniżej $0.20. Czuję się przygotowany na praktycznie każdy scenariusz rozwoju rynku.
W wersji byczej kolejne przyjmowane ETFy wysyłają nas w przyszłym roku na księżyc. Jednocześnie amerykańskie regulacje odsieją scentralizowane badziewie od sieci na to odpornych i wtedy Hive wypływa na powierzchnie. W wersji niedźwiedziej czekamy na halving, szorujemy dupą po dnie i czekamy na czarnego łabędzia. Cała społeczność wokół krypto związała bardzo wiele nadziei na rozwój krypto z amerykańskimi instytucjami finansowymi, co wydaje mi się podejściem nieco schizofrenicznym biorąc pod uwagę, że rozwój blockchainów miał te instytucje właśnie uczynić przestarzałymi. Jaka droga miałaby do tego prowadzić? Tego nie wie nikt, czas pokaże. Bardzo możliwe, że będzie to droga dłuższa i bardziej wyboista niż mi się wcześniej wydawało.
Od jakiegoś czasu zastanawiam się natomiast, na ile rynek krypto jest rozgrywany przez wydawanie/odkładanie/opóźnianie konkretnych decyzji. Cóż, chcieliśmy zaangażowania instytucjonalnego, to mamy. Oby się nam nie odbiło czkawką. Najważniejsze, że wskaźniki odnośnie BTC wydają się być optymistyczne, ilość HODLerów długoterminowych - ATH, udział portfeli poniżej 10BTC - ATH, hashrate rośnie.
Coraz częściej widać, że obecnie trwający, najdłuższy rynek niedźwiedzia bardzo mocno zaczyna wielu ludziom dokuczać. Zaczynają się głosy o obniżaniu APR dla HBD, a nawet temat obcięcia nagród dla autorów, na szczęście to ostatnie nie byłoby takie proste. Wydaje mi się, że jakiekolwiek ingerencje w bazowy protokół w obliczu wahań ceny to kiepski pomysł, to kwestia percepcji. Obniżki stóp procentowych powinny odbywać się natomiast bardzo stopniowo jeśli nie chcemy nagłego zalania rynku środkami uwolnionymi nagle z oszczędności. Bardzo budujący jest fakt, że te tematy są dyskutowane, wałkowane i ostatecznie głosowane przez społeczność, czyli tych, którzy mają najwięcej do stracenia w razie podjęcia błędnych decyzji. To bardzo odświeżające w porównaniu do patrzenia na gęby Glapińskiego czy Powell'a. Technologicznie mamy tutaj coś unikalnego i dla mnie niezmiennie fascynującego. A przez ostatnie 3,5roku Hive dokonał niesamowitego skoku w porównaniu do pierwszej sieci, warto to docenić.
Kolejne HP dodaję więc bez wahania.

In July, somehow I missed the first day of the month. The accumulated HIVE didn't go to waste, and together with the ones prepared for August, they joined my HP pool. It just so happened that my power now exceeds 40,000 HP. There's a reason to celebrate! Although I crossed the Orca threshold for a few months two years ago, back then it was a "temporary" power-up, while the current pool is "permanent." Soon I'm going to be Orca again.
Bitcoin is heading downward, and HIVE is following suit, as per the standard. I'm not particularly concerned as long as I see infrastructure and the community's development. And I see it consistently. A few months ago, I deployed half of my accumulated stablecoins, splitting them evenly between BTC and HIVE. I still have a few thousand HBD in savings in case the price of HIVE drops below $0.20. I feel prepared for practically any market scenario.
In the bullish version, the upcoming ETFs will send us to the moon next year, while U.S. regulations will filter out centralized bullshit from decentralized networks, and that's when Hive will shine. In the bearish version, we wait for the halving, scrape along the bottom, and wait for a black swan event. The entire crypto community has placed a lot of hope on the development of crypto with American financial institutions, which seems somewhat schizophrenic considering that the development of blockchains was supposed to make these institutions obsolete. What path could lead to this? No one knows; only time will tell. It's very possible that the road will be longer and more winding than I previously thought.
Lately, I've been wondering to what extent the crypto market is influenced by making, delaying, or postponing specific decisions by said institutions. Well, we wanted institutional involvement, and now we have it. Let's hope it doesn't backfire to hard. The most important thing is that the BTC indicators seem optimistic, the number of long-term HODLers is at an all-time high, and the share of wallets holding less than 10 BTC is at an all-time high, while the hashrate is rising.
More and more, it seems that the ongoing, longest bear market is really getting to many people. There are discussions about lowering the APR for HBD, and even the topic of reducing rewards for authors, fortunately, the latter wouldn't be so simple. It seems to me that any interference in the base protocol in the face of price fluctuations is a bad idea; it's a matter of perception. Interest rate cuts should be very gradual if we don't want the market to be suddenly flooded with HBD from savings. It's very encouraging that these topics are being discussed, dissected, and ultimately voted on by the community, those who have the most at stake (i love that word!). This is very refreshing compared to just looking at the faces of Glapiński (Polish central bank person) or Powell. Technologically, we have something unique and consistently fascinating here. Over the last 3.5 years, Hive has made an incredible leap compared to the original network, and it's worth appreciating. Growth of the network will come in the right time.

Congrats on hitting that 40k HP milestone. I was already very close to the orcahood status, two times actually, but in both cases, real life (expenses) got in the way. Few things on Hive are as sad and difficult as pressing that power down button...
