Polish Nature - Treasure From The Forest!

in #polish2 months ago

Hi Friends!

I went for a short walk today, around 2 hours across the forest near Olsztyn, Poland.
My goal was to record a video about my spendings during the Norwegian trip in 2024 - this video will be published soon for all the interested people who plan a similar car trip across Norway... but going back to the main subject.

After I finished my talking to a camera I spotted this beauty lying under the tree...

I was quite surprised because I didn't expect to find anything in this particular forest but I must admit I saw some fresh animal tracks and other signs that something was here not a long time ago...

Deer antler, probably from a 6yo male deer, very powerful, almost 1 meter long.
I spent some time walking around the place looking the second one to get a pair... but no luck this time.
Now I am thinking to go back there tomorrow, maybe more of such beauties are lying around somewhere there...

Cross your fingers, maybe I will find a pair tomorrow! For now - few more shots and a yt short video...

Thats on my bucket list - to find antlers!

It is a nice addition to a forest walk :). If You have any woodlands with deers, just spot the tracks and follow them, listen carefuly, try to smell the animals, look around very closely and sooner or later You should find one! Springtime is the best time for this. Goodluck!
