Podróżując swojego czasu sporo po Polsce pociągiem, natknęłam się z wieloma dziwnymi komentarzami na temat Poznania. Ludzi którzy nie koniecznie poświęcili temu miastu nawet 5 minut.
Z jednej strony mnie to nie zaskoczyło, z perspektywy torów kolejowych Poznań wydaje się miejscem szarym, brudnym i nudnym.. ( co pewnie dotyka sporo polskich miast jak chociażby Toruń). A szkoda bo tak samo jak Toruń, Poznań także ma sie czym chwalić. W ostatnich kilku latach nie jest to już miasto rozpędzonej jak lokomotywa kultury ( te świetlne czasy z przykrością przeminęły i z nadzieja czekam na nowe władze miasta które podniosą Poznań z tej depresji ). Pomimo tego, Poznań jakimś cudem wciąż się broni i co jakiś czas zaskakuje. Głównie dzieki Poznaniakom którzy nie pozwalają miastu na zbyt długo usnąć w nudzie.
Poznań to nie przede wszystkim Pyry z gzikiem i trykajace się koziołki o godzinie 12:00 na Starym Rynku. Przede wszystkim to miasto Barów, Pubów i Restauracji. W lokalnej Brovarii możecie skosztować piwa warzonego lokalnie - jest to wycieczka wrecz konieczna bo nawet sceptycy piwa potrafią się w nim rozkochać. Wielu Polakow zapomina ze Poznań to miasto w którym znajdują się groby dwóch pierwszych władców Polski, Mieszka I oraz Bolesława Chrobrego. Poznańska katedra w której to, te dwa grobowce się znajdują, to także okazała świątynia. Przepych złota, rzeźb i malowideł wręcz przytłacza. Ale Katedra to nie jedyny kościół któremu na chwile (ze względów architektonicznych )warto poświecić uwage. Poznańska Fara znajdująca się tuż obok starego Rynku to z pewnością miejsce gdzie nawet największy ateista na chwilę się zaduma nad sensem życia. Kolejne kroki warto też postawić w okolicy ulicy Św. Marcina skąd można dotrzec do słynnego placu Dwóch Krzyży ( który prezentuje Pomnik Poznańskiego Czerwca 1956, był to pierwszy w PRL strajk generalny i demonstracje uliczne które zostały krwawo stłumione przez wojsko i milicję, a samo wydarzenie było przez propagandę PRL bagatelizowane jako „wypadki czerwcowe” lub przemilczane. ) oraz Teatru Wielkiego (słynnej starej Opery) w której do dziś można otrzymać dodatkowy zastrzyk kultury.
Poznań to nie tylko skupisko Historii, Poznański Mural znajdujący się w okolicy Środki to piąty cud Polski ;) Także jak sami widzicie wycieczka do Poznania to wręcz konieczność!

Since I had traveled a lot around Poland, I came across many strange comments about my home town : Poznań. From people who did not necessarily devote to this city even a 5 minutes.
On the one hand, it didn't surprise me. From the perspective of railway tracks Poznan seems to be a gray, dirty and boring place .. (which probably touches a lot of Polish cities as also Torun). And it's a shame because just like Torun, Poznań have some places to be proud of. In the last few years, it is no longer a city creating new cultural trends (those glory moments have passed away and I hope to see soon new city authorities who raised Poznań from this depression). In spite of this, Poznań somehow surprisingly is still by miracle defending his artistic soul. Mainly thanks to residents who do not allow the city to sit too long in boredom. Poznań is not only the city of famous local disch called "Pyry z Gzikiem " (cooked potatoes eaten with white chesse and butter + salt) or two wooden Goats bumping their heads at 12 o'clock from the top Tower of Town Hall. First and foremost is the city of Pubs and Restaurants. In local Brovaria you can taste locally brewed beer - this is a must.
Many Poles forget that Poznań is a city in which there are graves of two first Polish masters, Mieszko I and Boleslaw the Brave. The Poznań Cathedral in which these two tombs are located is also a temple. The splendor of gold, sculpture and painting closely overflows. But the Cathedral is not the only church which (for architectural reasons) is worth to take a look at. Poznan's Fara, located just next to the Old Market Square, is certainly the place where even the greatest atheist can momentarily mourn over the meaning of life. Next steps you should make near St. Martin's Square, where you can reach the famous square of Two Crosses (presented by the Monument of Poznań June 1956, it was the first general strike in the Polish People's Republic [during the Communism] and street demonstrations that were bloodily suppressed by the army and the police, and the event itself was By propaganda of the Polish People's Republic as trivialized as "June events" or silent) and the Great Theater (famous old opera) in which you will receive an additional culture injection.
Poznań is not only an aggregation of History, Poznań Mural located in the area is the fifth miracle of Poland;) So, as you can see the trip to Poznań is a must!

Thank a lot for sharing !! I lived one academic year in Poznan through Erasmus (the European exchange programme for students) I miss the city of "two fighting goats" (the symbol of the city)? Actually I confirm that it is not very touristic but still attractive!
