According to the South Korean president's office, a meeting between South Korean delegation delegate and Kim Jong-un to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries, and dialogue between Washington and Pyongyang, as reported by the Al Jazeera page.Al Jazeera media reporter Rob Mc Bride reports from Seoul that the delegation consists of 10 members, led by National Intelligence Agency (NIS) head Suh Hoon and Chief National Security Chief Eu Yong.
"One of these officials, Suh Hoon, has previously attended inter-Korean meetings in 2000 and 2007," said Rob.
Rob said there were two delegation missions - possibly Moon Jae-in's visit to North Korea.
This South Korean delegation will visit in North Korea for two days, starting today. They will then travel to the United States to inform officials about their discussions in Pyongyang.
The 10 delegation visit was in response to an invitation offered by Kim Yo-jong, North Korea's younger sister Kim Jong-un, to South Korean President Moon Jae-in to visit Pyongyang.
A senior North Korean official, led by Kim's sister, visited South Korea during the Winter Olympics last month.
