No! But then how is it possible to make change happen?
AWARENESS - We live in a highly connected world and still people do not connect the dots.
One of the reasons people are not aware of what´s happening around them is that they are highly ignorant of the life of the other. This is also due to the fact that we learn in young ages to compete against each other and then go through life with this fundamental paradigm of continuous competition and victory at any cost. Do not get me wrong as a sportsman I am a fan of competition and as a business student I´m fully aware of the necessity of competition, but I don´t think that a >>victory at any cost paradigm << is the optimal modus operandi for the modern society.
In times of scarcity synergies are more appealing to me. Synergies can be achieved in a variety of areas and are part of our daily life. We find them in business in form of joint ventures or cluster strategies, in science in form of open innovation or in the arts in form of collaborations between two artists or more. Even though it´s common sense that team work will lead to better results. We do not apply the same principles on our society.
So what are we afraid of?
Losing the pole position? Being supressed by minorities one day? Well, in fact some people do have such fears. But how tangible really are they? To me they´re somewhere between nonsense and an unlikely possible threat.

Why I think white supremacist fears are stupid:
The minorities of the US and other western societies grew up in these countries and are assimilated to the culture and jurisdiction of the West.
There´s no hatred against white people. Lately black people and latinos are more up front about their feelings and their ideas in which direction the society should develop, but it´s not like there is an aggression towards innocent white people. Most of the last indictment have been reactions towards the already tense situation between blacks and police.
The idea of ruling over a race as another race is completely out dated and cannot be held up much longer. The costs are simply to high, especially in times when the geopolitical equilibrium is at stake. In fact as a white american citizen I would go on the streets with the black american citizen and fight for justice together with them, because I´d be more concerned about the integrity of my nation then about some grotesk privileges that date back to the era of slavery.
Summarizing I want to say that the USA are in a difficult position right now, because the world is looking at them. They are still the industrial, military and educational super power of the last decades, but if important civil progress isn´t made now I fear that this position is at stake.
