In my opinion I am a citizen who does not adhere to the federal system, assuming that the federal state model is more appropriate to a country that has a very large area, where the central government can not reach it easily. But for a country that has a small area, then the centralized model is better. Many of the advantages of the decentralization model, for example (1) prevent the practice of tyranny of power (power is at the center and region), (2) Integration of power (Central and regional can join forces), (3) Citizen Participation larger, each region will take care of themselves. Conflict Management Encourages Innovation in Law and Policy State Governments Can Be More Responsive to Citizen Needs. The disadvantage can be, for example, that there may be blockages and obstacles by the state center against laws and statutes made by states. The people at the lower levels may be cornered or subject to the efforts made by the state to compete with the state - other parts of the state. So far I live in a country with a centralized system (Indonesia) but the central government provides some parts to be managed in a decentralized manner by a particular province. Sometimes we also miss the federal state.
