Maybe, you could get a gun owners community going at beta.steemit.com.
It will give you a jump on the competition, imo.
Steem is a game, it takes some playing to get used to it.
The nice thing is that you own the ingame gold, and can buy stuff outside the game with it, too.
We have it linked implicitly via our SameAs schema, but haven't linked it up on the site yet. The added visibility would benefit the community and our standing with them, it makes total sense, thanks for the clarification!
