i had 2 national anthems and changed 4 countries in my life and i am still living in the same house 😂
And to be honest i still have a bit more feelings about the first anthem as it was early in life and a bit stronger indoctrination. And it was more about the people and less about the god.
it is 100% weaponized. All the shit that happened here was based on it. the limit of Nationalism should be drawn at culture, art and sports :D
i heard an interesting comment just few days ago and i never thought about it, and i know about the expression for over 25 years. i think it originated in Bosnia and Hercegovina "Zaratilo se". It is kinda impossible to translate. Zaratilo you would roughly translate as The war started but the word SE ads ambiguity to it. And i think it was a coping mechanism of normal people who could not explain to themselves how did they found themselves in the middle of the war where for some reason they should fight with their next door neighbor just because of a different nationality and all of them probably had half of the relatives in mixed families.
and now 25 years later when they meet in some other country where they emigrated they all hang out with each other. Because they all listened to the same music, watched the same movies, have similar cultures and understand each other. And there is no one around them to convince them to heat each other.

our president is now defending my part of the country from imaginary separatists (absolutely no one was talking about it) so there is a chance he sold us out (what ever he defended was lost) so there is a chance to live in another country without moving...
