Did I say there was no spying going on?
No. But that one incident alone is, well, very dangerous. The US has, of course, been working covertly throughout the world for years. Russia is merely countering us. But it is still a dangerous escalation.
Yup, there is no trust in international relations, even in the US/UK, US/Canada, it's all shaky, everyone spies on everyone, and the US is the biggest spyer on the planet lol.
I'm not a huge fan of the US lol. I prefer a hegemon to great power rivalry, however. If everyone is scared of starting a war, we don't have WW3 (this time with nukes). But the US has wasted its chance to create security, instead wasting it on nationalistic wars. Now, we've got realpolitik again but with particularly unskilled players, REALLY BIG bombs, and cyberweapons.
