"Equality of outcome" is a terrible ideal to have. What is worse is coming face to face with my peers who believe this and having to debate them. They speak of privilege, while being middle class Americans benefiting from the fruits of Capitalism.
They are also "offended" by the "evils of Capitalism", but not the horrors carried out under the banner of Communism.
Exactly right. And I bet they rant about the evils of Capitalism while they are checking Facebook on their brand new iPhone.
Yes. And when that is pointed out, they literally tell me to stop "pretending to be smart". Emotion has taken over US domestic politics.
