We're launching a new segment where I'll be answering questions exclusively from the Steemit audience in a clip to be posted on my YouTube channel, which currently has 410,000 subscribers. I think this will push more of our YouTube audience over to Steemit. We'll put screenshots of the Steemit questions on the screen, and it should be great.
Ask your questions in this post! Anything goes, politics, cryptos, news, economics, whatever!
The YouTube channel is http://www.youtube.com/thedavidpakmanshow
What are your thoughts on universal basic income? The pace of AI and robotics advances recently lead me to believe we may need it or similar solutions in as soon as 10-20 years in order to avoid a complete economic meltdown. If that's true then it needs to be considered more in current political discussions so the idea isn't completely foreign to the public when we need it.
He covered the topic last month on youtube.
How do you think that individuals, despite their residence, can best collaborate to tackle global problems in an age of increasing polarization?
If you were to try different tags, outside of the regular politics and news posts...what type of steemit user do you think you would be?
Would you be a foodie?
Would you dive into crypto?
Would you write poetry or take pictures?
Are you an artist or a traveler?
Do you play an instrument?
If you knew Trump was gonna nuke us all tomorrow despite all your hard work... what profession or hobby do you wish you would have gotten into instead?
What fills you with glee David?
WHERE IS PAT ALREADY? Is he on here yet? Love you Pat.
Post your steemit/youtube videos onto https://d.tube/. I know these platforms are so small but shifting even 1% of your base to utilize dtube would be massive.
Are you familiar with any of the following whistle-blowers? If so, what is your opinion on them?
I tried calling in a week ago, but something pressing came up and I had to cancel the call. I wanted to ask if you know anything about the Brave browser, and using Brave Payments to support youtubers. If so What is your opinion? Will it reach adoption, like patreon, or will it just be an obscure nerd tipping service?
Oh interesting... Never heard of Brave Browser before?
It's based on chromium (open source version of google chrome) and has some involvement with mozilla co-founder Brendan Eich. Seems pretty stable, and It has metamask built in, ready to be enabled for all the ethereum dapps.
Pretty cool little project.
What is in your pockets right now?
Yo David what do you make of Tom Delonge claiming aliens are real and then backs it up with guys from the CIA and pentagon?
He a kook or does he know something we don't?

HAHAHAHA I just realized I have Pat questions!
Ok Pat baby.
What is your ideal date?
Best pickup line?
Tell us about your first crush
Tell us about how you get your hair so nice like that...David's has been so messy lately ;)
Do you like older women>? lol
Can you show the audience your best blue steel face?
What is your favorite thing about David, Pat?
What is your least favorite thing about David?
Hi David, glad to see you are embracing this crypto currency phenomena which is slowly taking over the global economy. Eventually humans on this planet will be able to exchange whatever crypto currency they like, for goods and services, with the push of a button on their cell phone no matter what country they live in.
I enjoy your videos, thanks for having the courage to reveal the corruption and crony capitalism that is currently slowly destroying the US government.
I don't really have a question but maybe a suggestion to do a segment maybe once a week on any US politician that has done something good/positive that will actually help the majority of Americans and not just the ones that buy our politicians. Thanks! Keep up the good work :)
Do you have any plans to utilize the steem video player dtube?
nice post @davidpakman
Sir please you share your youtube channel name and I want to know about criptocurrency ...Thanks for your greatness..

thats a political review.

When will my account be like your vote?
I'd love to see more discussions about "But where does the money come from?"
In July of 2016, I did a bitcoin pizza challenge contest to get more people thinking about this stuff. Many people spend their entire lives working a job to make money, but they've never stopped to think about what money actually is. Cryptocurrencies have come along and forced people to ask these questions, and I think that's a fabulous thing. So yeah, my question would be, "Where does the money for the Steemit rewards pool come from?"
(my perspective: investors have something to do with it and financial value can only be determined in the moment of transaction)
I like it, the man wirth a breakthrough that means is goes to stronger. good luck.
That is really cool, do you need help coming up questions?
I don't agree with your politics at all, but I love that you are promoting Steemit.
Question: Did you read any libertarian authors? Nozick, David Friedman, Rothbard, Hayek, Mises... and what, if anything you got from reading them?
Great initiative!
I predict a post-market economy. The concatenation of various technologies such as 3D printing, blockchain and cryptocurrency, nanobots (a la Neal Stephenson's 'The Diamond Age'), and etc., will render capital, work, and markets for goods obsolete.
I also predict that folks will still have markets, but as goods and services will essentially be automated, these markets will but deal with social capital, art, and the like.
I think an egalitarian Steemit, or platform similar, might become the primary means of economic interactions in that time.
Do you think Steemit has what it takes to serve this need, or are there substantial changes Steemit needs to undertake before it can do that?
Thanks!
Is the sound in your walls back, now that it's getting cold again?
I disagree with your disdain for 0% interest deals. Mostly because I have one running right now. I'm paying the minimum payment to the store and saving the remainder in an investment account until a month or two before the deferred interest kicks in. I've only earned $13 on what I've set aside so far (which is actually 4.7%, but it's a tiny principal.) but that's better than $0. The only caveat you made that I may concede is that people may spend more if they're offered 0%, but that seems subjective. I had a professor that told us, "Be fast to take money in and slow to pay money out." (all else being equal, which I think 0% equalizes things a bit)
I would certainly never refer to the price of an item as, "$x per month," though. That's barbaric.
Can you search Islam and Bit Coin, Judaism and Bit Coin see if you found what I found. They share almost the same views. That is crypto currencies are commodities and not currencies. Finance Interest kept coming up in every article I red even I was reading about bit coin. This is a major difference between Judaism and Islam. In Judaism, it is not allowed for a Jew to lend another Jew money and charge him interest. It is called usury. And it is a big no no in Judaism. But a Jew can charge non Jews interest. However in Islam interest (usury) is a big no no too. Except No Muslim can lend anybody (Muslim or not) and charge him interest. I concluded the real ideological war is between Islam and capitalism and they make it look like Muslims against Christians.
Union membership is abysmally low right now, roughly 11%, in the US. Do you think that it should be much higher? If so, what might be some solutions to accomplish that?
As an Argentinian ex-pat, with family connections there and a regular visitor to Buenos Aires, I'm interested to know what you and your family think about the tango. For people in the tango community, it looms large as our primary link to BsAs and Argentina, but I have noted that tango doesn't seem to get discussed much in Argentinian news outlets (to the small extent I follow them).
Documentaries on tango make it seem like tango music is an underlying cultural layer in BsAs/Argentina. How true is that? Is it comparable to rock music in the US? Or is it closer to Jazz or Blues?
As a Millennial I absolutely despise broadcast television. How large a role do you think the Baby Boomer generation's addiction to TV played in us getting a racist reality TV show host as president?
We phoned a friend and got our racist uncle?
And as far as Trump's approval rating being in the mid 30s, I think 30% of americans simply feel safer with a white man in charge of things, as incredibly stupid as that is. I can literally give you contact info of someone that feels this way.
Do you recommend the electric drums for learning so you can plug in some headphones and not piss off neighbors? I've been thinking of getting a set and learning some jazz.
