Will we see much of an impact from the planned economic boycott today? It isn't only one company that is being singled out for boycott but several large companies that have been mentioned as the message has been spread around social media, encouraging people to not spend money on Feb 28 2025.
In a day of spending abstinence it's an economic boycott that has allegedly been planned for 24 hours.
It's alleged that reasons behind it are discontent over rollbacks of DEI programs, as well as corporate greed and struggle with inflation etc, but economic boycotts can easily backfire and end up possibly making things worse on the end, depending on how many people might be taking part in this economic blackout or if there are more to come for example.
Why is standard of living eroding? might it be related to monetary policies?
It could be an opportunity to bring attention to the standard of living many are facing, what has been going on with purchasing power, or how monetary policies might be related, but there's little talk of that for now.
For those who are spending they might only be spending on necessities or looking for local businesses to shop with. Overall it seems though the message is not to spend any money anywhere.
