Civil War Diary #35: "Mass protest" likely means "riot" to AntiFa thugs

"Elevating Antifa to terrorism would fuel the worst trends in our politics, as well as take power away from the states."--Jonah Goldberg

Jonah Goldberg's article in National Review caught my eye, primarily because it mentioned AntiFa, and my often expressed belief that the Department of Justice should declare AntiFa a terrorist group.

Goldberg raises the issue I concede I hadn't even considered: the powers of the States verses Federal:

"...officially designating Antifa a terrorist organization would most likely be opening a Pandora’s box (for reasons my National Review colleague Andrew McCarthy recently laid out in detail). There is a huge difference between countering foreign terrorists, who have no constitutional rights, and domestic ones. The federal government is constitutionally empowered to fight foreign threats. The states are supposed to fight crime, even domestic terrorist violence."

Goldberg then points out the danger of fiddling with the status quo:

The groundswell behind the label “terrorist” for Antifa is a call to blur that distinction. Although treating American radicals and vigilantes the way we treat foreign members of the Islamic State or al-Qaeda might play well in certain corners of the populist Right these days, serious conservatives should be very skeptical about granting the federal government new police powers, which could be used to other ends in future administrations.

Is Goldberg right? Did the Founders intend such things to be state issues?

“No Trump, no wall, no USA at all!”

Matt Vadum reports that two groups of fascist thugs (i.e. AntiFa) have been pimping for Kim Jung Fatso:

Two leading anti-Trump resistance groups, Refuse Fascism and the Workers World Party, are siding with the gulag-filled Stalinist hermit state of North Korea that has threatened to incinerate the American homeland with nuclear weapons, evidence suggests.

Is this a fair charge? I think it is. What else does “no USA at all!” imply?

An Rodong Sinmun (the voice of North Korea) Editorial, wrote: " “Every minute and every second, the new reality that US mainland is on the knife's edge of life and death is forcing US administration to wave a white flag and fundamentally change her North Korea policy."

The "knife's edge"? Kim Jung SlabbaButter has threatened the Unite States with nuclear attack...which certainly compliments AntiFa's hate-filled "no USA at all"

US SENATE: Nazis Bad, Communists Good

Charming, simply charming. Joe Newby called our attention to:

"...a bipartisan resolution introduced in the U.S. Senate condemns neo-Nazis, the KKK, white nationalists and white supremacists, but fails to mention the far-left Antifa, which has been deemed a domestic terror group by the state of New Jersey."

If this resolution is approved by the United States Senate, it will stand shamefully as overwhelming evidence of the power held by Senate Marxists. It will reveal just how far Senators are prepared to go to defend communist thuggery when it comes to masked cowards assaulting people that might be "fascists" - or Trump fans.

Somehow, I'm thinking that Trump voters - all 63 million of them - now understand exactly what they are up against when it comes to draining that swamp.

Refuse Fascism: Ben Shapiro's Evil, Too?

Let's play a guessing game. Add Berkeley and Ben Shapiro together - what do you get?

Refuse Fascism, an organization which appears regularly with Antifa at protests, has announced they will hold a mass protest against Daily Wire Editor-in-Chief Ben Shapiro when he speaks September 14 at the University of California, Berkeley. They are circulating a flyer accusing Shapiro of being a white supremacist, a misogynist, xenophobic, and intellectually fascist.

"Mass protest" likely means "riot", and that's what you're going to get when Ben Shapiro triggers fascists by announcing an appearance at the University. The next time you ask yourself, "Could they possibly get any dumber," think about UC Berkeley and its bizarre assortment of bigoted fascist thugs.

Let the riots begin, the Mayor will order Berkeley Police to stand down, and then demand that Refuse Fascism be designated a "gang." The press will breathlessly report the "disruption" caused by the Evil Mr. Shapiro, who deliberately aggravated the peace activists (aHEM!) and made them act out by hitting anyone within reach and burning cars...or buildings...or people.

AntiFa group calls for revolution
Myopic Senator looks the other way

Kerry Picket adds an interesting note to this proposed Senate Resolution. Senator Tim Kaine, the man Hillary Clinton chose to be her Lady in Waiting, avoided a simple question about AntiFa's violence...interesting, given that his son was arrested during an AntiFa event:

When asked by The Daily Caller Thursday if “antifa” should be considered a terrorist organization, Kaine replied: “I don’t like broad brushes and I don’t know enough about them to say that they’re terrorists but people who do violent things. The law should take care of them.”
