The Schumer Shutdown: Illegals Are "Dreamers," Americans Are "Deplorable"?

The Democratic Party's determination to place the needs of illegal foreign colonizers over those of 330 million American citizens led to the appropriately-branded Schumer Shutdown last Friday. The Democrats took one hell of a beating over the so-called shutdown over the weekend and surrendered this morning.

Why did the Democrats take such a beating? Perhaps it was because - for the first time - a Republican President actually fought back, as Trump pointed out that the Senate Minority Leader, Comrade "ChuckYou" Schumer and his Marxicrats placed the interests of as many as eleven or twelve million illegal colonizers ahead of ensuring funded medical care for young Americans (CHIP), the entire United States Military and those three hundred and thirty million citizens.

Trump's tweets are a classic example of how the President controls the media, even though the mainstream media clearly loathes the man. No matter how Trump's jibes anger them (and provide opportunities for endless virtue signalling), he is the President, and they are thus compelled to breathlessly report his every social media fart.

The problem for the mainstream media is that the American public appears to be sick and tired of hearing the President demeaned and insulted, and when his tweets are publicized, the only result that matters is that millions of Americans who don't know Twitter from a Lada sedan are exposed to his comments.

This became clear while perusing my favorite online conservative sites. The first piece, by Monica Showalter, reported that House Minority Leader Nancy "Botox Barbie" Pelosi invited Democrats to a celebratory meal at a very pricey D.C. eatery. Showalter promptly tarred the Democrats with a damning truth:

A government budget requires a certain number of votes to pass. Republicans have contributed virtually all of theirs. Democrats are refusing to cough up so much as ten of their own, making it their own shutdown in the name of illegals. They call illegals 'DREAMers' while they call ordinary Americans 'deplorables.' No wonder Pelosi and company couldn't be happier about the shutdown.

How far we have fallen as a political system: An entire political party is now willing to shut the government down over a policy exclusively for illegal aliens, not Americans. Even more appalling is that the very leader of the shutdown is a man who has lied to us numerous times on immigration and has created the very immigration crisis we face today by pushing similar amnesty policies before. Most ironic, Schumer himself once expressed support for the very policies he is now calling racist and over which he has triggered the Schumer Shutdown.

On Thursday, Politico reported that Chuck Schumer told President Trump there will be no deal unless Sen. Tom Cotton is removed from the negotiating table. After all, the American taxpayer is not allowed to have a voice in the room who actually cares about the citizenry at least as much as illegal aliens. The problem is that Schumer and most other Democrats once upon a time supported what Cotton is trying to accomplish, at least in rhetoric. The reason Schumer is so disgruntled over the presence of people like Tom Cotton and Stephen Miller is because they have matched his knowledge of the immigration issue and deftly expose his double talk on the issue — double talk that has allowed him to get away with immigration fakery for 32 years as a member of both the House and the Senate.

The Schumer shutdown has dispelled any illusions about what the Democrats stand for.

Never before in American history has a major political party put the wants and desires of foreigners ahead of the interests of American citizens.

...This is a remarkable achievement – and it’s the only one the Democrats can claim.

Their abject hatred of President Trump has served up to now to mask their hatred of America itself.

Methinks the Marxicrats are in for a rough year, as Americans begin receiving larger paychecks thanks to the GOP's tax cuts. Sadly, I expect Trump will cave on the so-called "dreamers," and the long term result will be exactly what it was after the Reagan amnesty: Another flood of illegals.
