You're reasoning is quite sound. However, there were a lot of factors in this story that gave off racism signals to a lot of people.

  • Affluent White Neighbour hood - There is a perception that rich white people are the most racist, than you're average white person.
  • Police - African Americans and police encounters don't really get good headlines nowadays and probably most people thought it was another case of police brutality.
  • Starbucks - Many people don't know about how liberal or left wing Starbucks is, they have a general bad notion that big multinational corporations are always the same and they have gender biased rules against minorities.

I totally agree 100% with what you said and its one of those rare cases where the men are crying wolf, normally it'd be the other way around.

And that’s a major problem with the media and how they report information. The story was framed from the beginning to make it appear as race played a role.

That's the kind of stories they profit off the most.

I was listening to them talk about this on the radio I was curious what sparked the whole issue. This identity politics thing is bullshit. Its great to hear another black person who is outspoken about this. I might also make a video about this

It's starting to get ridiculous, anytime there's an altercation/interaction between a black and white person its automatically assumed that somehow the white person is racist. And thats just not the truth.
