I totally agree with you. This is why we should use decentralized blockchain social media platforms like Steem and Civil instead of the state-surveilled corporate-owned Facebook and Twitter, good content goes through here. I wish you could put some links to justify your position (I believe you, since I've read some of the articles you're referring to, but there's some people who won't); Noam Chomsky is a good start.
