hi,
as positive as i would have been with using my votes to shape development of my father land , it all seem like a mare wish that can only be achieved by a stretch of luck,
our political system is designed in such a way that the ultimate contenders on each political platform is being selected by party delegates,
this process is flooded with massive rigging and everything un-holy to say the least.
at the end of the day we are left with product of these un-transparant processes to choose from.
i thing the real process of playing our part is to change how the final contenders are being selected.
thank you
I agree with you. Of recent we had a similar issue in our ward when the "delegates" selected an uneducated meat seller to be councilor against a competent educated fellow all in the name of zoning.
To make matters worse, the youth leader went around boasting that he made the guy a councilor so that he can manipulate him for his gain.
The reason why we should take the blame is that we allowed incompetent hands run the affairs of delegating the representatives. If we must make a change we must start from the grassroot- hardcore grassroot.
When you are a card carrying member of a political party and you have your pvc, you may like taken the first step; and remember, a journey of a million miles can start with a millimeter step.
