Arizona child abused and burned due to CPS, Another case of CPS abuse and why they need to be reigned in

in #politics7 years ago

For many such, as young Devani from Arizona, the horrors of what can happen when you’re taken by Child Protection Service is very real. A full link will be provided below. Fair warning, this story is not for the young or faint of heart. I’m posting this because I feel like more needs to be said about the rampant runaway power/abuse of CPS in this country. While examples of police brutality such as Freddie Gray’s spine being injured or other types of abuse are finally showing up more in mainstream media. There is more of a reluctance to report information which could put CPS in a bad light.

The truth of the matter is that people don’t want to admit to the dangers of CPS. While the idea is a good one the old saying goes, “the road to hell is paved with good intentions.” The fact of the matter is very similar to the police. While many working in CPS might be good people some people abuse their power. Despite this, they rarely suffer any consequences for terrible decisions. Multiple times people have had their children taken from them for nothing or minor offenses. Such as a Gulf War vet who had his kids taken from him after it was reported that he smoked marijuana for his PTSD and was in the process of moving the family to Colorado.

Multiple CPS agencies have been accused or shown a high level of wrongdoing with places such as Texas and California being standouts. Just a few years ago, it was revealed in that in Texas, dozens of CPS case workers were lying and falsifying documents to look good and keep up with large caseloads. Similar stories have been seen with fabrication of evidence and people questioning if Federal Funding is a good idea. Arguments have been made that CPS is motivated to place as many kids as possible in foster care to justify state and federal funding which altogether has reached over $2.2 billion. You might ask what the answer is? I invite you to do some research on this and think about this.

People very often which it ignores things, but this cannot be ignored. Instead, it should be confronted and dealt with. Do your research, come to your own conclusions and decide what should be done. The problem is that none of us want to not help children we all do. And that’s the first thing people will say that you don’t care about children. Anyone who cares is the person who will ask the question. Much like the police or anyone else there’s needs to be checks and balances. The problem is that CPS can often take children or put an enormous amount of stress on a family with little to no evidence of wrongdoing or for reasons which anyone normal person would see as perfectly harmless. The best thing people can do is to be made aware.

Push your lawmakers to pass laws and regulations to reign in CPS power and support watchdog groups which will keep an eye on CPS. Support places such as the ACLU which will represent people who’s children is taken without reason or due cause. As always I hope you find this informative. I welcome any feedback or thoughts. Until next time.

CPS and APS, talk about a worthless agency. As a former police officer I frequently dealt with this organization and I have close to zero respect for it.

As I'm sitting here I am thinking of all the kids that were truly in danger, in horrible situations and CPS did nothing. Then I think of the cases where CPS came in all guns blasting for stupid reasons, like a kid being spanked. Now, you can go overboard spanking a kid but this was not the case in this instance.

Lets say that CPS does remove the kids, then they go to foster homes and most of these people are worthless pieces of sh#t who are in it for the $$$ only and don't give a rats ass about the kids. These foster homes tend to do more harm than good.

If CPS ever comes to your door and you know it is CPS then don't answer, don't acknowledge them. If you do happen to open the door and they identify themselves then close the door. They are on a fact finding mission to snatch your kids up.

@dwhntx thank you for being honest and speaking the truth. Wish we had more people like you.

Matter of the fact is that when you give people a huge amount of power with little oversight stuff like that happens. I know people try to say that's the "exception" yeah that's fine. Tell that to the parents who's kid was basically abducted for no reason. Like with that example in Texas those dozen of so CPS workers handled tons of cases. They could have falsified information for hundreds of reports for all we know.

And you're right sad to say. There have been many times where kids in real need are ignored. While others they are removed for stupid reasons. There needs to be better oversight. So that CPS and bad foster parents aren't looking at children as a meal ticket/paycheck for themselves.

The worst part is how little recourse you have if CPS does come for you. They wield a huge amount of power without need for things such as a real investigation, warrant, real proof, etc. Only thing I hope is that with time people will see this and push for change.

Yes. With some exceptions, kids are generally better off living with their families. CPS officials and such are just strange people and, well, I guess they can't really be bothered to be better people.

Same could be said about boarding schools, too.

Pretty much. Really we just need better oversight so stuff like this doesn't happen. It's just sick.

A diario en el mundo los niños sufren violaciones y son muy pocas las agencias que actuan para garantizar sus derecho, por eso como padres debemos cuidar de ellos a toda hora.

True. It's important that we as people and parents look out for the welfare of our childreen.

I agree a very worthless agency

I just hope with time people can see the danger/corruption and push for real change.

Resteemed as it's an important topic, thank you for sharing!

Thank you my friend. I really appreciate that. And yes i feel it's a very important topic.

Thank you for sharing this, I have also followed you. Harm coming to children is something which I will never understand. I don't understand how a human being can inflict harm on a poor, defenseless child. I am unsure as to what the CPS is? Is this an American term for the social services (here what we call it in the UK?) If so, it is the same here. Many people are only in it for the money who choose to foster and as for social workers, we have children being taken left, right and center for minor issues however children who are at serious risk or are being neglected, abused and so on being allowed to stay in the care of their so called "parents" or primary care givers. Thank you for writing this, the truth needs to be told.

Thank you for the follow I genuinely appreciate it. I agree the thought that anyone could inflict harm on a child is rather sickening. But some people are just that horrible it seems. Yes CPS (Child Protective Service) is the US equivalent of social services. That's terrible and I'm sorry to hear that. Maybe sometime we could write about the injustice being done over in the UK as well.

It's the exact same story here. People who aren't fit to be foster parents get in it only for the money and abuse children. This is overlooked or kids are placed with people unfit to be foster parents. In the meantime, good parents have their child taken away for minor things such as Devani being taken away because the neighbors heard her parents shouting at each other time one while she wasn't even there.

On top of that CPS workers are pressured to "close cases" quickly and lots of them to ensure money keeps coming in for CPS. It's a horrible system. I plan to keep writing about this and more. I appreciate your support. I feel like people need to give serious thought about this and what can be done to help infleunc ereal and serious change.

CPS or in Canada CAS, are a worthless agency whose mandate is to take someone's children away to be brought up in the way that the state seems fit. Recently, Ontario passed Bill 89 which gives the state more power to seize children from families that oppose the LGBTQI and gender ideology agenda. It also allows government agencies to effectively ban couples who disagree with the agenda from ever fostering or adopting children.

That's messed up. Shows you how western society is starting to just go nuts. Fear the day when you can get in trouble for thoughts crimes. Yet it seems like we're there already. Sad part to is that you know some people will justify it. While I have no problem with gays, straight, bi trans, (have gay and trans friends), I don't agree with a lot of the agenda pushing going on especially with children. But people will say you hate people simply for disagreeing. It's crazy.
