If you have cancer and the wait time to see a specialist is 6 months that isn't really a preference thing though. That situation will hurt the poor who aren't able to purchase that supplemental plan. That type of stuff happens in single-payer countries.

Nope. The wait lists are based on who needs what first. The CURRENT operation is a list based on wealth. Universal Healthcare would be based on who needs it the most. Try again.
Which system are you referring to? Every country's system is unique. You can't make that large of a generalization.
