This is my home Hong Kong - it was extremely beautiful and stunning by filling with Hongkongers who want to fight for our freedom and tell our government that we strongly disagree passing the law about the extradition to China.
Since 1997 Hong Kong returned to China, we didn't stop showing Hong Kong government how we are willing protect the law of 'ONE COUNTRY, TWO SYSTEM'. Processions and demonstrations never stopped since then. However, on 9th June, it was the biggest demonstration we ever had that more than a million Hongkongers occupied Central for expressing their wills.
'50 YEARS NO CHANGE' is the slogan that China government promised us when Hong Kong was returned to China. However, just 22 years passed the nightmare already came - slowly destroy our own model of society by economy, education system and political issue.
First, individual Visit Scheme started. Prior to the scheme, Mainland residents could only visit to Hong Kong and Macau on business visas or in group tours. Since then, Hong Kong was overloaded and out of order. Second, Putonghua become the first language in some of the kindergarten and tried to replace our mother tongue Cantonese. Now, it's related to law - the extradition to China.
The hongkongers all over the world like from Australia, Canada, States, even In Czech Republic did the small demonstrations to show their awareness.Hong Kong is now becoming a battlefield between an authoritarian state and the free world. Remember, when one is enslaved, all are not free, so they urge the international society, the US government and the EU, to keep pressuring the Hong Kong government and the Chinese government.
It's so heartbroken to see how my home turns to be. We always lost as government always ignored our wills, but this time we don't mind lose again but still go to the street showing how much we can't stand what the government is doing for us, our kids.
12th JUNE will be a critical day for us. No matter what happens, I am still proud to be a Hongkonger.
Love,
Gladys

Such a critical post. Well done Gladys. My heart beats for Hong Kong and is filled with sadness but also hope. This is not just about a law of extractions. This is exactly as you said= authoritarian regime versus freedom. The whole world should support Hong Kong
Thanks for your support love. Freedom is the thing we as human being should protect until the last breath.
I’m sorry to see the gradual erosion of freedom since the handover and how crowded HK is with mainlanders these days. I love visiting and seeing my relatives there all the same 🙏🏽

Indeed this is so sad to see how we ate losing hope for our future. Of course hk government doesn’t care about anything about us except the Chinese government’s order. Hong Kong used to be so beautiful and lovely. I think you agree too @fleur.
To an outsider it seems like a lost hope. China will take over Honk Kong completely, piece by piece. I hope you all good luck!
Good to see people in defiance.

Yes. But they not gonna win against the monster of Chinese government. These gangsters are unstoppable.
They are man, just gotta fight the good fight it's just a passionate few that have the ability to cause great change. It's gonna get pretty rocky before it gets better.
