South Africa's Elite Task Force To Investigate Wrong Think of Middle Aged Indian Man

in #politics6 years ago (edited)

A South African of Indian descent, Kessie Nair, has come out against corruption in his own way by calling the president of South Africa “The K word” in a video he posted to social media. Ironically Mr Nair was a staunch “social justice activist” during the “liberation struggle” and so he has now turned on his “comrades” in the ANC. Keeping it real, he even manages to fit a bit of Hindoo spirituality in his rant.

Sadly, this kind of thing destroys lives for people in South Africa now, families are torn apart and their businesses destroyed. This fellow’s family are saying that he is in fact mentally unstable and are trying desperately to distance themselves from the affair.

Mr Nair was arrested on 19 September and the case has been handed to South Africa’s elite task force, The Hawks. So while farm murders rage on, and the police are tripping over their bootlaces, the Hawks investigate the personal opinions of a middle aged Indian gent with intent to lock him away for the utterance of a word.

Are we living in George Orwell’s 1984 and is wrong think is now an illegal activity, enforced by the states elite task force? When will the madness end?
