It's debatable, but I'd gladly debate he was our greatest President ever. Consider these quotes and then consider how society operates today - victims, entitled, lazy, greedy, lacking morality (I don't mean to generalize but for the sake of argument it's needed).
"Things do not happen. Things are made to happen."
"If we cannot now end our differences, at least we can help make the world safe for diversity."
"Efforts and courage are not enough without purpose and direction."
"Conformity is the jailer of freedom and the enemy of growth."
"The goal of education is the advancement of knowledge and the dissemination of truth."
"Anyone can make a difference, and everyone should try."
Anyone can say words but it's the action behind them that makes them worthy. JFK meant what he said and for that, he lost his life. He wouldn't "conform" and neither should we.
Just seven days before his assassination he's quoted as saying: "There exists in this country a plot to enslave every man, woman and child. Before I leave this high and noble office, I intend to expose this plot." Can you not see this plot in action by our inept government today? Being that he wanted "splinter" the CIA into "pieces", was against "secret" societies and was FOR open an free thinking in a time where this very (and current) government was in a metamorphosis of evil and darkness, he was the Light.
I don't doubt he would have exposed the crimes of the Federal Reserve Bank and its Fractional Reserve banking methods. Isn't that what is enslaving Americans today with debts that their children's children won't possibly be able to pay off? He would have restructured the government, or at least planted a seed for Presidents to come, so secretive agencies wouldn't be allowed to deprive us of privacy or create operations that are meant to instill fear in Americans (Operation Northwoods, Operation Mockingbird).
The two-party political system is nonsense, and until we have a candidate that is willing to be open and honest with the people of this country and operate on our behalf, sadly so many will remain enslaved. The real question is how do we undo the traitorous and tyrannical systems that have been put in place since JFK sought to expose them? These systems were built to keep this country divided. Ideas?
Clicked on this because I happened to be eating bacon when I saw frankbacon's resteem. I think it is no coincidence JFK was assassinated right after that speech you quoted. JFK was a man of the right mind and virtue to actually bring about positive change, the puppet masters couldn't allow that to happen. So they sent a clear message "free thinking will not be tolerated in politics"
We could be a much freer society today if JFK had to sneeze at the right moment.
