Japan's Shinzo Abe's approval rating fell to the lowest level after Abe's reignition.
38% of the respondents said they supported the Abe Cabinet in a poll conducted by the Nihon Keizai Newspaper and private broadcasting TV Tokyo on the 5th and 7th. This is 11 percentage points lower than the survey conducted on the 8th and 10th of last month. This is the lowest level since December 2012 when Prime Minister Abe regained power.
The percentage of respondents who said they did not support the Abe Cabinet was up 9% to 51%.
Criticism was prominent among older voters. For example, 66% of respondents in their 60s said they did not support the Abe Cabinet.Thirty percent of those who said they did not support the Abe Cabinet cited the lack of leadership.
