How is it that the media ran with a story from the 'Washington Post' that only vaguely eluded to people who might've been in a meeting with the president, when he may or may not have said something that would only offend the oldest virgin in your grandmothers bridge club?
It's simple... The mainstream media is dying. It's losing its audience to the alternative media, and it's hoping that its elderly audience will take the bait when they use the word "shithole" repeatedly... You know, because offensive language pisses off the elderly.
But ask yourself this question. Does the word "shithole" truly offend you? I'm guessing not... When the words "moist", "cunt", and "Trump" tend to be the key words that raise the blood pressure of the average square today, "shithole" seems rather quaint. Yet, the media is trying to get you all worked up over it just the same... The general area in which I reside is a shithole... Does saying that make me racist? Of course not! I live here and you don't. I think that's all that needs to be said about that.
But getting back on point... Even though I didn't vote for Trump, and I'm not entirely impressed with him in regard to how he's handling his foreign policy, I still find myself having to constantly defend him in regards to how the media is covering him in general... because the collective media has lost it's goddamn mind. They're so obvious in their bias against him that they're resorting to "potty talk" as their central focus of indignation... It's embarrassing to witness.
The fact is that the media is trying to stir the shit because they don't seem to have anything else. The Russian angle backfired on them. And all of the other buzzwords like "xenophobic", "homophobic", Islamophobic", and "racist" never stuck... Wait a minute... Racist!!! They take a word... a buzzword like racist. They associate it with a gossip column that said something that sounded like something that the president might have said... and they extrapolate a connection. Yeah, I know. This shit is getting long-winded. That's what happens when you analyze media...
Long story short. If you take any of this "shitholegate" nonsense seriously, you're being played... It never was a scandal. The media is just desperately grasping at straws, trying to cling to their credibility while ignoring the fact that they're only accelerating their own demise by reporting on shit like this shithole bullshit. It's just another sad example of a dying legacy media trying to maintain its relevance as it slowly saws away at its own throat.
